Earlier this month, it was reported by Sport Witness that both clubs in question are showing ‘great interest’ in the former Malaga midfielder, while also ‘closely monitoring’ the situation regarding the Spaniard at Real Madrid.

However, despite these earlier reports claiming the interest would be in relation to a January move for the 27-year-old, AS now claim that neither Manchester City nor Arsenal have asked for the player again, since their reported interest during the summer transfer window.

Sport Witness close their report with the belief that Isco would only consider a move to either Premier League side, permanent or on loan, if he was assured playing time for either club – with a spot in the Spain squad at the European Championships at stake.
