Manchester City return to FA Cup action on Sunday afternoon, as they host Championship side Fulham in the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side come into the game off the back of a difficult 1-0 victory over Sheffield United in midweek, but have an outstanding record in the world’s most traditional cup competition, scoring 30 goals in their last seven games.
Claudio Bravo takes up his usual role between the sticks for cup competitions. Joao Cancelo replaces Kyle Walker at right-back, with Angelino replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko on the opposite side. At central defence, Nicolas Otamendi retains his place, while teenager Eric Garcia comes in to partner him.
As expected, Ilkay Gundogan lines up in the number six role, giving Rodri a rest, presumably ahead of the Manchester derby in midweek. Phil Foden lines up alongside David Silva in the more forward midfield roles, with the Spaniard captaining the side this afternoon.
The front consists of Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus. All in all, it’s EIGHT changes from the side that lined up at Bramall Lane.
