New club joins race for in-demand Man City forward – four clubs now interested

Three Italian clubs are interested in signing Manchester City forward Ian Poveda, according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercato, as relayed by InsideFutbol

The 19-year-old forward, who made his senior debut in last season’s League Cup, has allegedly piqued the interest of Sassuolo, Parma and Torino.

Manchester City are said to be ‘open‘ to the idea of letting the youngster leave on a permanent basis, and Poveda has been linked heavily with Championship side Leeds United in recent weeks.

Now, Tutto Mercato are reporting that the trio of Serie A sides are also tracking the English attacker, and his representatives have travelled to Italy very recently to hold talks with Torino in particular.

A move to Elland Road could still be on the cards, as Poveda is reportedly mulling over his options ahead of a final decision later in the week.

Poveda, who was born to Colombian parents, was called up to the England U20 squad in October.
