Leroy Sane has returned to the football pitch on Thursday afternoon, although the intensity and level of his training is not known, as Manchester City photographers captured the Germany international working alone at the City Football Academy.
The former PFA Young Player of the Year has been ruled out through injury after sustaining serious damage to his anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield victory over Premier League rivals Liverpool back in August.
However, it now appears the Germany international is closer to a return for Pep Guardiola’s side as the winger was captured working alone on a pitch at the City Football Academy on Thursday afternoon.
Manchester City will be hoping the forward will be fit in time for the crucial Champions League double-header against La Liga giants Real Madrid – a game that is well within the reach of the 23-year-old, should he maintain his current rate of recovery.
Leroy Sane has continued to be linked with the move to Bayern Munich throughout the time that he has been ruled out through injury, with the latest update being that the Bundesliga giants are more likely to make a move the youngster in the summer transfer window.
