Carlisle United have placed a new price tag of £800,000 on highly-rated central defensive prospect Jarrad Branthwaite after refusing an offer made by Premier League side Everton earlier in the week, according to Mail Sport.
Manchester City are rumoured to be interested in the player, alongside several other Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea, Watford and Leicester. Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig were also named as having an interest in the 17-year-old.
The League Two club declined an offer of £500,000 plus add-ons from Everton earlier this week, stating that any future offers would need to provide more money up front.
