Man City receive double injury boost ahead of Leicester City clash

Pep Guardiola has confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the weekend’s game against Leicester City, that both John Stones and Sergio Aguero trained with the rest of the squad.

Stones and Aguero have missed the previous few games through muscular problems, leaving Guardiola with selection dilemmas at both ends of his starting XI. However, according to the Catalan boss, both players appear to be in contention to face Leicester, however how much of a part they will play was not revealed.

In previous fixtures, Guardiola has opted to use Gabriel Jesus in place of the injured Aguero, while Nicolas Otamendi took the place of John Stones in the centre of defence.

The injury situation for Manchester City now looks slightly healthier, with Sane and Laporte joined by David Silva on the sidelines.
