Manchester City officials have held a meeting with promising PSG central defender Tanguy Kouassi (17) according to France Football, amidst a relatively difficult season in this particular position in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
The current Premier League champions have been through a relatively difficult campaign so far, with injuries hampering the squad throughout the season, most notably in central defence. The injury to Aymeric Laporte has seen Manchester City fans call for further recruitment in this particular department come January.
It now appears as though City officials have identified one talent in this position, although the player will almost certainly not be the answer to Pep Guardiola’s immediate problems in defence. According to France Football, officials from the Etihad Stadium have ‘held a meeting‘ with the representatives of 17-year-old PSG central defender Tanguy Kouassi.
The report goes on to reveal that both RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig are also targeting Kouassi, while his representatives have other appointments with European clubs scheduled.
