“He feels good” – Pep Guardiola’s agent opens up on Catalan boss’ future at Man City

Pep Guardiola’s agent Josep Maria Orobitg has stated his client ‘feels good‘ at Manchester City, despite reports linking him with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, as reported by SPOX Redaktion.

After a relatively difficult start to the 2019/20 campaign, it seemed like a slight overreaction to come across reports linking Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola with a move away from the club in the coming summer – and following today’s news, that certainly seems to be the case.

The agent of the 48-year-old has revealed, in an interview relayed by German outlet SPOX Redaktion, that Guardiola is more than happy in his current position as Manchester City manager.

Josep Maria Orobitg stated: “In football, nothing is certain. But I spoke to Pep [Guardiola] last Wednesday. He feels good at Manchester City and also in the city of Manchester, and he has a contract until June 30th, 2021.”

It certainly seems damning evidence that claims linking Guardiola with a move away from the Premier League champions are far-fetched and far from the truth of the City manager’s position at the club.

In fact, Orobitg went on to suggest that ‘nobody apart from the press‘ contacted him directly regarding the future of his client Pep Guardiola. Adding to this, it was stated that there certainly have been ‘no talks with other clubs’ during the time when some outlets have suggested Guardiola may be on his way back to Germany or even Spain.
