Nicolas Otamendi is the latest casualty in what seems like an injury crisis, as Manchester City travel down to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.
The Argentinian defender is reportedly not “100% fit”, after a blow to his back suffered while on international duty with Argentina, according to Stuart Brennan.
Otamendi has been at the brunt of criticism, not just by Manchester City fans, but by the media at the expense of his below par performances. This more specifically coming to light following Aymeric Laporte’s ACL injury.
City will be looking to bounce back later today at Crystal Palace, following their 2-0 defeat to Wolves before the international break. If the Blues were to pick up the three points, they will close the gap between themselves and Liverpool to five points, with Jurgen Klopp’s side travelling to Manchester United on Sunday.
