Reports in CalcioMercato suggest that Manchester City will return to Real Sociedad in their reignited hopes of signing attacking midfielder, Mikel Oyarzabal.
Pep Guardiola was said to be interested in the Spaniard in the summer, as a possible replacement for the departing City legend David Silva.
Oyarzabel has hit impressive heights in the past two seasons, scoring 25 goals as well as earning his first call up to the national side in June. In his debut against Sweden he also got himself onto the scoresheet, further proving his ability in that department.
Recent quotes from the player seem to suggest he is keen to stay at Sociedad for the next few years; “I see myself playing for La Real for many years, I only think of La Real. I feel comfortable, loved and wanted.”
This season has seen him start with impressive numbers, scoring four goals in his first eight games and there is no doubt he could bring quality in abundance to Manchester City if a move was to come to fruition.
