Three wingers could still leave Man City before the transfer deadline

Three wingers could still leave Manchester City before Monday night’s transfer deadline, according to the latest reports throughout Sunday and transfer deadline day itself.

The window as a whole has been one of loans and departures for Pep Guardiola’s side, with the more major first-team deals appearing to be focused and targeted to take place during the upcoming summer window.

This month has however provided the club with plenty of opportunities to send some of their best talents to clubs throughout England and across Europe to gain some much-needed first-team experience.

Despite the completion of Taylor Harwood-Bellis to Blackburn Rovers, and Morgan Rogers to Lincoln City earlier in the month, there is still a feeling that plenty more talents could leave the club on loan before the deadline is upon us – the majority of which play in the wing position.

First of all, Patrick Roberts could be on the move once again.

According to an exclusive report from Football League World and Phil Spencer, Derby County have emerged as potential contenders to sign Roberts on-loan, with the player ‘keen‘ on a move.

Update: A new development after 5PM tonight from the Telegraph has stated that Roberts is now ‘close‘ to a loan move to Pride Park, after his loan move at Middlesbrough was cut short.

Fellow Championship side Stoke City also have their eye on an emerging talent at the Etihad Stadium, with the Potters reportedly interested in academy forward, D’Margio Wright-Phillips (19) – this according to the Telegraph’s Mike McGrath. Despite it not being specified what the nature of the deal would be, it is expected to take the form of a loan move.

Finally, Jayden Braaf is still expected to join Udinese on loan until the end of the season. The only change from previous reports is that the move will not include a buy-option for the Italian club. It had been previously suggested that the Serie A side would have the chance to sign the Dutch winger for around £9 million at the end of the season, however this was denied on Monday morning.

Other than the aforementioned wingers, there is still expected to be other movement around the City academy, with Arijanet Muric expected to be recalled from his loan with CFG club Girona, and immediately loaned back out to Dutch first division side Willem II – this according to Jack Gaughan of the Mail.
