Pep Guardiola has no intention of leaving Manchester City early if their Champions League ban is upheld, according to Johnathan Smith from Goal.
Since the two-year ban from European competition was announced on Friday, several sources have suggested that the Catalan coach may consider departing one year earlier than his contract planned.
However, recent reports indicate that Guardiola will not be leaving early, and that “the club will operate as normal”.
Goal also state that senior figures at the club are still confident of the ban being overturned. If it is not, City will be prevented from playing in any European competition for the next two seasons – unless something drastic changes, that would make this season Guardiola’s last chance to win the Champions League at Manchester City.
