Manchester City have finalised the signing of young centre-back Renzo Orihuela, according to reports by El Observador.
The 18-year-old Peruvian has officially joined City and will be immediately loaned back to selling club Nacional, subject to a medical. There, he is a regular in the club’s youth setup, but hasn’t yet broken into the first team.
A number of clauses are said to have been included in the deal to sign Orihuela, including a bonus for Nacional if the player ever makes an appearance for Girona and an even bigger one in the event that he makes a debut for Manchester City themselves.
Nacional are one of the oldest teams in Uraguay’s first division, and won the competition last year.
