Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is NOT a ‘player of interest’ to his former side Manchester City amid talk of a summer exit, claims Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
Earlier today, Sky Sports broke the news that Sancho is apparently set to leave Dortmund in the summer.
Most fans anticipated that City would be one of the numerous clubs chasing the England international’s signature, but Solhekol’s sources suggest that is not the case.
Sancho has continued to impress in the Bundesliga this season, where his thirteen assists is a figure only bettered by City’s own midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne in Europe’s top five leagues.
With Leroy Sané’s future in doubt, it seems certain that Pep Guardiola will be in the market for a new winger in the summer.
However, with Sancho most adept on the right-hand side, the club’s supposed disinterest could be explained by the fact that Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez are all capable options in that position.
