Bayern Munich are ready to test Manchester City’s resolve as they plan a ‘double swoop’ for Leroy Sané and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, according to the Sun.
Leroy Sané has played an integral part in the last two title wins, but his contract with the club runs out in 2021. A price tag of £137 million has been set for the German, but as his contract ticks down, City may have to accept a cut price deal for the winger.
In the summer transfer window, Bayern made no secret of their interest for Sané. However, the interested fizzled out after the German damaged his ACL back in August 2019, ruling him out for the whole of this season so far. Back in full training now, he will look to regain a starting spot in this City side before any talks of a move to Munich take place.
Bayern are also looking looking at bringing in Liverpool forward, Roberto Firmino, for around £75 million. The Brazilian has played a key role in the sides title charge; amassing 10 goals and 12 assists as the reds sit 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
