Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has been identified by Manchester City as the man to ‘revolutionise’ their defensive worries, according to Calciomercato as relayed by Sport Witness.
Skriniar, who turns 25 next week, is part of one of the best defences in Europe alongside Diego Godín and Stefan de Vrij. Under Antonio Conte, he’s been one of the key players of an impressive season.

According to reports, City are targeting the Slovakian as a signing who could play alongside Aymeric Laporte for years to come. With Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho both expected to leave the club over the next eighteen months, it’s no surprise that Guardiola’s side are looking for new defenders.
However, Inter would require an exceptional offer to let Skriniar leave – he’s reportedly valued between €70-80m. If the deal is done, it’s even possible that the centre-back could narrowly overtake Virgil Van Dijk as the most expensive defender of all time.
