Manchester City have confirmed forward Raheem Sterling will miss this weekends fixture against West Ham United, after suffering damage to his left hamstring.
The winger does not have a set return date, but the club do say they will continue to monitor his progress over the upcoming winter break.
Sterling has scored 11 goals in 23 Premier League appearances so far this season; but hasn’t scored in eight games for the Blues. His dip in form has meant the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva have been given more opportunities in the side.
Reports yesterday suggested the winger was targeting a return for the Carabao Cup final, meaning he would miss Manchester City’s first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie against Real Madrid.
