Manchester City are prepared to cut their losses and sell Joao Cancelo this summer, according to The Sun.
Cancelo hasn’t managed to usurp Kyle Walker as first-choice right-back yet, and despite only being given six months to show his worth, Sun writer Daniel Cutts says City are already planning to ship him out in the next window.
Former club Inter Milan are named as being interested in resigning the Portuguese, but City’s reported £50m price tag would likely put them off.
Cancelo has played for Valencia and Juventus as well as Inter, and had created a reputation as one of Europe’s best right-sided defenders before he joined City in 2019.
However, he’s not been given an automatic starting spot at the Etihad this campaign, and this has been enough to spark some rumours that he will be sold.
