Manchester City are preparing a summer transfer for Valencia winger Ferran Torres, after club scouts watched the teenager help his side beat Barcelona 2-0 last Saturday, according to Valencia-based media outlet TribunaDeportiva.
Torres, 19, will have made an impression on Manchester City’s scouts as he registered an assist in the surprise victory for Valencia.
Operating predominantly on the right-hand side, Torres has achieved four goals and four assists in La Liga this season. Additionally, the Spain U-21 international notched his first Champions League goal in a 4-1 defeat of Lille in November.
TribunaDeportiva do not name the price tag that would be required to land Torres, but they do make clear that Manchester City intend to acquire the midfielder in the summer.
