It’s been yet another quiet day for Manchester City fans in the transfer market, as the prospect of seeing any new signings this month continues to go from unlikely to almost impossible. However, there are still a few rumours about potential outgoing players to get our teeth into.
Here’s a round-up of what’s been happening today…
Poveda Deal Close
We begin with yet another update on the potential future of Ian Carlo Poveda, who’s been linked with about five different clubs over the last three weeks and might finally be on his way out of Manchester.
According to MailOnline, Poveda is closing in on a move to Championship side Leeds United, to join Marcelo Bielsa as they push for promotion. This would mean he turns down Torino and a few other Italian clubs in favour of staying in England.
So, there’s a chance?!
Next is a potential development on the long-touted transfer of Leroy Sané to Bayern Munich.
SPORT1 say that the deal to sign the German isn’t done yet, and staff in Munich are “neither euphoric nor pessimistic” about their chances of seeing him play in red. This might point towards a resolution some fans have predicted for a while: the Bundesliga champions backing off and Sané remaining at City for the time being.
