It’s been a rather quiet day for transfer news regarding Manchester City today, but there was an interesting update about the future of record goalscorer Sergio Agüero.
Here’s a round-up of today’s events…
Tonali City bound?
Renowned Italian journalist Di Marzio started the day’s rumour mill by crediting City with an interest in Brescia’s Sandro Tonali. The teenage midfielder is also said to be a target for Inter Milan, Juventus and PSG.
Poveda saga nearing a conclusion?
Ian Carlo Poveda’s future destination could be decided soon. Gazzetta Dello Sport as relayed by Sport Witness, claim that the winger will give an answer to Torino in the next 48 hours. Leeds United will be hoping the answer is ‘No’, with the Championship side allegedly keen on the youngster too.
The winger is said to ‘like the Turin world a lot’ and when he gives his answer, it’s up to Torino to ‘assess whether to take him right away or whether to close today and wait for the summer’.
Sergio Agüero for a little bit longer?
The Sun led with an exclusive report that MLS side Inter Miami have made contact with Sergio Aguero about a transfer in 2021. However, the Argentine is said to be open to extending his stay in Manchester and could renew his contract for another twelve months. City fans would happily see Kun stay for as long as possible.
