Club has ‘made contact’ with ‘representatives’ of Sergio Aguero – ‘no firm plans’ on future

The newest addition to the MLS, Inter Miami, have ‘made contact’ with the ‘representatives’ of Man City striker Sergio Agüero, report The Sun.

Agüero is said to ‘not be against’ a potential move to the MLS upon the expiration of his contract in 2021.

However, Inter Miami are not the only option available to the striker. The Sun claim that New York City FC, part of the CFG, ‘have also shown interest’ in Agüero’s future.

Part of the appeal of moving to the MLS would be the closer proximity to his son Benjamin, who still resides in Argentina.

The report adds that there is nothing set in stone about Agüero’s departure date from City. A source inside the club is quoted as claiming that:

‘Sergio leaves when he decides…he has no firm plans about when saying goodbye to Manchester’.

An option to extend his stay on a season-by-season basis would be available to Agüero, the source concludes.
