First, reports broke suggesting that Manchester City were prepared to reject any approach from Arsenal for the defender, before their boss, Mikel Arteta, came out during his press conference stating that rumours linking his side with Stones were untrue.
It looks like the centre-back will be staying at the Etihad in the near future.

There are also reports linking Manchester City with yet another young defender, this time Renzo Orihuela of Nacional.
The Premier League side are reportedly ‘keen’ on the highly-rated 18-year-old, and have made an offer of $1.5 million, however, any move would need to wait until the summer.

There are also yet more suggestions that Joao Cancelo could be moving, this time to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.
However, considering the source, Mourinho’s tendency to be linked with every Portuguese player under the sun and the fact that Guardiola recently suggesting he wants to keep the player, we aren’t holding our breath waiting for this one.
City Sign Leicester Defender
Our penultimate bit of news is of Manchester City’s capture of 17-year-old defender Cameron Gbadebo.
The centre-back has left Leicester City to move to the Etihad after being on trial there during this season. Gbadebo is highly thought-of and could be the academy’s replacement for Eric García and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who have both spent large parts of the season with the senior team.
City To Challenge Barcelona For Midfielder
Another potential youth signing comes in the form of Villarreal B midfielder Iván Morante. The 19-year-old is valued in Spain at around £6 million and has already made his Spain U19 debut, but Manchester City may face competition from Barcelona to sign the player.
Saving The Best ‘Til Last?
Reports from Spain suggest that Aymeric Laporte may be a target for Barcelona, who are looking to replace Samuel Umtiti with a new first-choice.
Laporte’s physical presence and passing ability have identified him as a strong contender to partner Pique for Barcelona’s board, but the club has no intention of letting their key defender leave.
