Manchester City winger Ian Poveda is set to undergo a medical with Championship flyers Leeds United, ahead of a permanent transfer to the club, as reported by Peter O’Rourke with Football Insider.
The 19-year-old forward has been brought in as a direct replacement for Jack Clarke, who has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Tottenham Hotspur.
A Leeds United source has told O’Rourke that they are in the closing stages of finalising the deal with Manchester City, and Ian Poveda is expected in West Yorkshire within the next few days in order to complete the transfer and put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
Poveda has been scouted extensively over the last year by Leeds United, and with his contract expiring in the summer, Manchester City have elected to sell in January.
