Real Madrid midfielder Isco intends on signing for Manchester City and NOT Chelsea, according to reports from El Desmarque.
Manchester City and Isco has been an ongoing transfer rumour since June 2013, when the Spain international was blossoming at Malaga and on the verge of a move to Real Madrid that summer. In fact, City fans have almost being accustomed to hearing reports linking the now 27-year-old with a move to the Etihad Stadium, and as we approach the January transfer window, things aren’t looking like they’re going to change just yet.
According to El Desmarque on Thursday, Chelsea had been ‘very interested‘ in the services of the Real Madrid midfielder, however the player seems to have his eyes set on Manchester City – a viewpoint that has been made clear to club president Florentino Pérez.
It is claimed that Isco ‘knows Pep Guardiola wants him‘ at the Etihad Stadium, and hopes to sign for the current Premier League champions in the summer of 2020, however there have been ‘no concrete talks‘ between the two clubs. El Desmarque continue by suggesting in the ‘coming months‘ there will be talks to sell Isco at Real Madrid.
Many Manchester City fans have raised Phil Foden’s name upon reading the latest update in the Isco saga, and the report provides an insight into this very topic. El Desmarque suggest that Pep Guardiola sees Isco as the successor to David Silva, and a player who can help with the development of Phil Foden – or in the words of the report, ‘get all the talent into his boots‘.
