Manchester City return to Premier League action following the Carabao Cup victory at Oxford United, as they take on second place Leicester City. The Blues will be looking to close the gap between them and the Foxes to just one point.
Pep Guardiola makes EIGHT changes to the side that overcame a tough challenge at the Kassam Stadium – a completely changed defensive line, two changes in midfield, as well as one alteration to the front three. Sergio Aguero returns to the bench, following his recent muscular problem.
Ederson returns to his usual spot in the starting line-up, after Claudio Bravo retained his cup spot between the sticks in Oxford. Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy line-up in a defensive four – a new defensive line to the one that faced the League One side on Wednesday night.
As for the midfield, Ilkay Gundogan slots into the number six role as Rodrigo drops to the bench. Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva take up the other two more advanced central midfield positions. Phil Foden also drops to the bench, following his recent starts for Pep Guardiola’s side.
As for the attacking three, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez retain their places, while Gabriel Jesus replaces Angelino – who plays no part in today’s game.
SUBSTITUTES: Bravo, Cancelo, Garcia, Zinchenko, Rodri, Foden, Aguero.
