It’s being reported that Al-Duhail have established contact with David Silva and his representatives, to try and convince him into becoming their marquee player. Former Bayern Munich and Juventus player Medhi Benatia (32), is currently the star of the side.

In his decade at the Etihad Stadium, Silva has won the Premier League and the League Cup four times each, as well as the FA Cup twice, scoring 73 times in the process for the club.

The 33-year-old Spaniard is also reportedly a target for a host of clubs in China, North America and Japan. However, should he move to Al-Duhail, he’s likely to fit right in – the club recently won Qatar’s first ever domestic treble.
