Manchester City are one of six top European clubs in talks with the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, according to BILD, as relayed by Sport Witness. The Premier League champions join the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
It’s reported that the two Manchester sides are the ones that have had ‘concrete talks’ with the player and his entourage about a possible move. BILD have said the asking price for Havertz exceeds €130 million, adding to a current contract that expires in 2021.

With David Silva set to depart City at the end of this campaign, Havertz could be one that the hierarchy turn to as a replacement for ‘El Mago’. The German’s ability in transition is almost similar to Silva, and would be certainly something that impresses Pep Guardiola.
It is yet to be known if any of the clubs interested in the midfielder are willing to meet the asking price set by Leverkusen, but there definitely isn’t a shortage of interested parties.
