Manchester City boosted by forward’s return to full first-team training

Sergio Aguero returned to full first-team training on Monday following a thigh injury sustained in the victory over Chelsea in November.

The Argentine forward has missed the last six games for Pep Guardiola’s side, following the muscular injury sustained in the clash against Chelsea last month. The Manchester City boss has thus been limited further in terms of attacking options, leaving Gabriel Jesus as the sole option in the centre-forward position.

Although the 31-year-old was photographed in training on Monday afternoon, there was no update from the club on the progress of the striker’s recovery process.

Manchester City are entering a busy period of fixtures this month, with the reigning Premier League champions facing four games between now and the turn of the year. The return of Sergio Aguero will obviously be a welcome boost for Pep Guardiola and City fans alike.
