Andrew Madley will take charge of on-the-field matters when Manchester City continue their defence of the Carabao Cup against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Wednesday 18th November.
Manchester City will be looking to maintain their run of form of late, following comfortable victories against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League and Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. Pep Guardiola’s side will be aiming to progress to the semi-final stage of the League Cup for the third consecutive season – after winning the tournament in the two previous instalments of the competition.
Andrew Madley (36) will be the man in the middle in Oxford on Wednesday, supported by Scott Ledger and Darren Cann as assistant referees. Touchline matters have been affiliated to Andre Marriner.
Madley will be taking charge of his very first match involving Manchester City. As for Video Assistant Referees, the system will NOT be in operation at the Kassam Stadium when the two teams clash for the second consecutive season on Wednesday night.
Match referee Madley will take charge of his 13th fixture in all competitions this season when Manchester City take on Oxford. So far, Andrew Madley has handed out 39 yellow cards in his previous 12 matches, awarding five penalties and dismissing five players in the process.
