Manchester City return to Premier League action with a heavyweight clash against Freddie Ljungberg’s Arsenal, following the conclusion of the Champions League Group Stage on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola makes FIVE changes to the side that came from behind in emphatic fashion in Zagreb on Wednesday – a change in goal, two changes to the back four, an unchanged midfield and alterations on either wing up front.
Ederson returns to his usual spot in the starting line-up, after he pulled out of the squad in Zagreb through illness. Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy line-up in a defensive four – two changes to the back-four that lined up in the Champions League.
As for the midfield, Rodrigo retains his place in the more defensive role, while Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan take up the more attacking positions in the centre of the park. Kevin De Bruyne moves out into a more advanced position, reportedly on the right-hand side of an attacking line.
As for the attacking three, Raheem Sterling retains his place in the front-line, alongside Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne.
