Manchester City are reportedly in a pack of six top European clubs ‘regularly sounding out‘ the entourages of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappé of PSG, according to Le Parisian as relayed by Sport Witness.
The club have joined Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona and Liverpool in the pursuit of the two world class talents. Since Kylian Mbappe broke onto the scene, in particular on the famous Champions League night where City beat Monaco 5-3 at the Etihad, his meteoric rise earned him a £158 million move to Paris.
The reported interest for Mbappe is obviously higher than that of Neymar, mainly down to the age of the two men. The two are apparently good friends at PSG and the club will not want any of their two star men to go, if they are to have any chance of winning the Champions League in the near future.
The reported interest from the Premier League however, is simply the club’s just keeping themselves in the loop on the player’s situations. Both of them would be prise assets to acquire, but there is no noise of any discontent from them, and PSG are even offering Mbappe a bumper new deal to commit his long-term future to the club.
With the Leroy Sané situation still up in the air, both of these players could be the sort of calibre Manchester City need to replace the German, if he were to go to Bayern Munich in the upcoming transfer windows.
