FCInterNews, as relayed by Sport Witness, have alleged that Manchester City have joined PSG, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in targeting Inter Milan’s emergent striker Sebastiano Esposito with ‘great insistence’.
Esposito (17) made his professional debut last season in a Europa League tie for Inter Milan against Eintracht Frankfurt. This season, under Antonio Conte’s watch, he has appeared three times as a substitute in Serie A and three times in the Champions League – including Tuesday night’s defeat against Barcelona that sent Inter crashing out of the competition.
Esposito is held in high esteem at Inter Milan and this has evidently not gone unnoticed elsewhere. FCInterNews, report Sport Witness, have declared the forward to have been the recipient of numerous ‘very rich offers’ from clubs that include the current Premier League champions.
The Italy U19 international is also said to be generating a race between agents to represent the Inter Milan youngster, including super-agent Mino Raiola in a bid to snatch for himself a slice of the fortune that Esposito is likely to amass as he attracts the interest of Europe’s biggest clubs.
However, the report indicates that Esposito and his family are unmoved by the reported transfer interest abroad. Likewise, there is no appetite to sign up with a new agent at the moment. As such, it seems likely that Esposito is content with his development at Inter Milan and is happy with the opportunities afforded to him by Conte.
This report makes Esposito the second highly rated Inter Milan striker to be linked with Manchester City in recent weeks, following the reports alleging the side’s interest in Argentina’s Lautaro Martinez.
