Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy has been linked with a move away from the Glasgow side, with Manchester City one of many interested parties, according to the Daily Record.
The Scot is still yet to make his first-team debut for the ‘Gers, but manager Steven Gerrard is highly impressed with the 17-year-old and has made him a regular in senior training sessions.
The winger made an impact in February’s Alkass Cup, and was a key player in their defeat of rivals Celtic in the Youth Cup. These performances drove Gerrard to say of Kennedy: “People look at Kai like he’s this wee player who doesn’t belong with men but he’s trained like a man all week. He’s been the most consistent and he’s a fabulous little player.”
Rangers have been locked in contract negotiations with Kai Kennedy, whose current deal expires in 2021, and fear that if no new agreement can be found, they will be forced to sell their asset on the cheap. Bayern Munich are also claimed to be monitoring the situation surrounding the teenager.
