Pep Guardiola makes FOUR changes to the side that drew with Newcastle United on Saturday. Manchester City are looking to bounce back from some dismal November form which saw them pick up 9 points from a possible 18 in all competitions.
Ederson, as usual, starts in goal in search of a first clean sheet since City’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the Etihad in October. Kyle Walker retains his place at right back, however, Angelino comes into the side in place of Benjamin Mendy on the left. Fernandinho is joined today by Nicolas Otamendi at centre back, with Guardiola obviously recognising the aerial power Burnley have. The Argentine plays in place of John Stones.
In midfield, Rodri comes into the team replacing the suspended Ilkay Gundogan. Kevin De Bruyne, fresh off a magical strike at the weekend, starts in the number 8 position alongside the captain, David Silva.
Bernardo Silva will look to get back to his best operating from the right, with his trickery unlocking the Burnley defence last time out, he replaces Riyad Mahrez. Raheem Sterling starts in his usual left wing position, with Gabriel Jesus leading the line.
