Details have been revealed about the away kit for Manchester City’s upcoming 2020/21 season.
Twitter page @0F0BALL, which has a reliable track record in kit-related leaks in the past, describes a Puma ‘Black/Dark Denim‘ colour scheme. Dark away kits aren’t unusual for Manchester City, with four of the last five second strips featuring black or dark blue as the primary shirt colour.
The account goes on to quote information about the kit, saying ‘Show your true colors and support Manchester City with the Official Licensed Replica kit. Crafted from culture. With graphics inspired by the city’s architecture, landscape, music and arts, these must-haves are eye-catchers – both on and off the pitch.’
@0F0BALL have also claimed to reveal release dates for all three of Manchester City’s kits for next season, with the home kit reportedly announced on 24th April 2020 and the away and third strips following on 25th May 2020. The account stressed that these dates are ‘provisional and not 100% confirmed‘.
The same thread from @0F0BALL goes on to include a passage on the Castlefield region of Manchester city centre, although the implementation of such passage isn’t specified in terms of it’s relevance to the away shirt.
If these dates are true, they would represent a departure from recent normality for Manchester City, who don’t usually reveal their third kit until the season is already underway.
