Manchester City will react to their third league defeat of the season by going all-in in the transfer market, according to the Daily Mail.
Reports claim that the club are targeting replacements for three club legends – defender Vincent Kompany; who left the club at the end of last season, midfielder David Silva; who has confirmed he will leave at the end of the current campaign, and forward Sergio Aguero; who is turning thirty-two around the same time.
These replacements are not expected to be cheap, and it’s said that each deal could cost Manchester City at least £100 million. However, the Citizens don’t expect money to be an object – especially if they move on Leroy Sané to Bayern Munich.
One other question mark in the air currently hangs over the head of manager Pep Guardiola, who has been rumoured to leave at the end of this season after his wife Cristina returned to their home in Spain. But sources are adamant that Guardiola has no intention of leaving the club before his current contract is up in one and a half years.
Manchester City’s current record signing is Rodrigo Hernandez, who joined from Atletico Madrid for £63 million in 2019. Rodri has been an incredible success since making the switch from La Liga, becoming a necessity in the majority of City’s starting line-ups this campaign.
