Real Madrid are weighing up a £70 million plus Gareth Bale proposal for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, according to Sky Sports.
According to Sky Sports, Los Blancos are preparing to test the Premier League champions’ resolve with an audacious offer of the Welsh international for the inform England winger.
It is claimed in the report that representatives from Real Madrid will travel to watch Raheem Sterling action for England next month, before deciding on the ‘final details of a proposal‘ to Manchester City.
Real Madrid had made a failed attempt for Sterling in the summer, with the player’s representatives meeting with Real’s general director Jose Angel Sanchez. Club President Florentino Perez is more than aware that given another 12 months, Sterling’s £150m valuation will increase even further.
The report closed by stating Manchester City, and Pep Guardiola, have little interest in Gareth Bale. Raheem Sterling’s desire to play abroad in the future has been made very public in recent months, with Real Madrid mooted as a potential destination.
Sterling has been on blistering form so far this season, scoring 15 goals and registering five assists for Manchester City in all competitions, and has been invaluable to the success of England in their qualification process for the 2020 European Championships.
