It is claimed that city rivals Manchester United have been following the 17-year-old for slightly longer, having scouted him in a match between Italy and Mexico at the ongoing U17 World Cup. However, Manchester City are now thought to have sent a representative to monitor the teenager’s performance against Paraguay U17.

FC Inter News, according to Sport Witness, label the Italy U17 international as a ‘complete defender’ – due to his ability in the air, skill on the ball and his sense of position. The report goes as far as saying ‘there are few like him nowadays‘.
