Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko has provided an update on the knee injury the club confirmed he sustained before the Atalanta clash on Tuesday evening.
On his instagram, the Ukrainian posted a photo of him in a hospital bed, with the caption ‘on the way back’ suggesting he has had some sort of treatment.
What was particularly interesting about the post was the location – Barcelona – the same place many Manchester City players go for treatment from knee specialist Dr Roman Cugat.
The extent of this injury is unknown but, if it’s long-term, it adds to the long list including Benjamin Mendy, Aymeric Laporte, Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sané who have sustained knee injuries whilst at the club.

Zinchenko has fought his way into the Manchester City side in the last few years at an unfamiliar position of left-back, and was a key component of City’s treble winning side last season.
