Manchester City are said to be following Isco’s situation, regarding his playtime and role at Real Madrid with a possibility of dipping into the market for the attacking midfielder this January, according to a report from Catalan based Sport as relayed by Sport Witness.
The same report claims that Manchester City are joined by Arsenal in monitoring the Spaniard’s situation. Isco is a name well known amongst Manchester City fans, being a player reportedly on City’s transfer list every window.
At this point, City fans now take any link with the Spanish midfielder with a pinch of salt. Following numerous links over the years, and no developments or truthfulness coming, could this be the season when a move for Isco finally comes to fruition?
Isco once again has come under scrutiny from Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and Los Blancos fans. Accumulating a mere 170 minutes on the pitch in total, it is understandable for Isco’s representatives and the player himself to be unhappy with his current situation.
While remaining a mainstay in the Spanish national team and edging closer to 30 years of age, Isco is sure to be looking to make the most of his prime years on the pitch. Whether or not that will be in Manchester, London or Madrid is yet to be seen.
A report from AS this week suggested that Manchester City and Arsenal are ‘crazy‘ about Isco and from that, the SPORT picked up on the story and updated it, by suggesting both teams are now closely monitoring the situation. However with reports from the club, comments from Pep Guardiola himself, and cries from the fans to have Phil Foden fill ‘El Mago’s’ boots, it’s hard to see this link being more than what is currently meeting the eye.
