Raheem Sterling is on the verge of being offered a brand new £450,000 a week contract by Manchester City, according to a report by the Daily and Sunday Express.
Just 11 months after being handed a £350,000-a-week deal by Manchester City, Raheem Sterling could be set to earn himself an extra £100,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium, following impressive performances for both club and country over the last year.
This new and improved deal comes after reported interest from Real Madrid, with Manchester City wanting to keep their star man away from the clutches of Florentino Perez’s team, with the chairman of Los Blancos wanting to build a so-called ‘team of Galacticos’.
As relayed by the report from the Daily and Sunday Express, Sterling has previously stated his desire to play abroad, and more specifically, his desire to play at Real one day.
Sterling has also become one of the most marketable footballers in the world, and recently became the face of Gillette. The Manchester City winger is set to feature in a brand new advert for Pepsi, and has recently featured in campaigns for FIFA 20 as well as become the cover star for the latest edition of FourFourTwo magazine.
As stated by the report from the Daily and Sunday Express, Sterling could be set for a huge pay-day, if we were to accept a history-making endorsement from Nike’s Air Jordan brand – who are wanting to enter the football boots market.
