“To Train With Him Was Something Special” – Frank Lampard names Man City legend as his favourite player away from Chelsea

In an exclusive interview with Talksport, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that David Silva is his favourite current player away from Stamford Bridge.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Lampard said, “I know this is his final season playing for Manchester City so this is as good a time to talk about him. The year I had there [at Man City], to train with him every day, to see his humility as a player and his quality and everything he brings, was something special.”

Chelsea legend Lampard, who also played at Manchester City and partner club New York City, added:

“I am delighted that he has had the success and all the recognition because he is incredible.”

David Silva is coming to the end of his time in Manchester, having announced that the current season is to be his last. Meanwhile, the current Chelsea manager Frank Lampard played at the Etihad stadium during the 2014/2015 season, scoring eight goals in thirty-eight appearances.

Manchester City next play Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on the 23rd of November in the Premier League. The Londoners are sitting in 5th in the table at the time of writing.
