Transfer Round-Up (27/05/19)

Monday was a fairly quiet day in the Manchester City transfer whispers department, nevertheless here’s your daily round-up of everything that went on!

Atletico Madrid are hoping the defensive midfielder Rodri will decide his future this week, this according to Mundo Deportivo. The options for the defensive midfielder are said to be between signing a new contract or leaving the club for one of the multiple offers he has, the most significant of which is from Manchester City who are said to be prepared to meet his release clause.

Lothar Mattaus is the latest voice in Bayern Munich’s corner to speak out on the Leroy Sane transfer story and he is confident that the German speedster will be wowing Munich fans next season as, according to the Germany legend, Uli Hoeness publicly revealing interest in a pledge usually means their imminent arrival.

While it does seem more and more likely that Sane will move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, comments like these are only going to irritate City officials who will not appreciate Bayern officials or sympathisers making statements that could unsettle a player still on our books. Watch this space closely this summer.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are said to be leading the race for Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix ahead of Manchester United and both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, who want to secure a deal below his release clause. He may satisfy a few Manchester City fans disheartened by Leroy Sane leaving and a fleeting resemblance in looks to a young Sergio Aguero will only do him favours.

Lastly, two familiar faces combine for our final transfer story for day. The extremely nice gentleman that is, Manuel Pellegrini of West Ham United may want to take Manchester City full-back Fabian Delph. The Chilean boss is said to be a big admirer of the England international and West Ham could move for him this summer, along with Leeds United who are claimed to be interested in their former man.
